Good luck! I took music in Year 10 and 11 so i learnt as much theory as i needed too before going into a Music Tech course which i'm halfway through before going to Uni. I wouldn't mind mastering the art of harmonization because that's a great skill to have. I think you'll do great. Maybe you write what you think sounds right but you're not quite sure what you're doing? For example, are playing an Amin9th to get a sad overtone, or because you messed around on the piano and came up with it "accidentally?" Life is fun when you have music. Good stuff mate!

Thank you! I agree, harmonization is also one of the top things on my list as well.
when it comes to making my music, usually I just messed around until I found a chord or melody that I liked and then tried to create a piece out of it. But because I know so little about music I only know so many chords making most of my music sound the same. It also tends to be melancholy in nature pretty much all the time which (while my favorite type of music) shouldn't be the only thing that I can create. I really want to branch out but at the moment am unsure how to get there. Thanks again for your encouraging words and good luck with the rest of that music tech course as well as heading off to university!
